it's STILL snowing

it's st. patrick's day, and although i wanted to go dig on the parade today, i decided to skip it since there are a couple of inches of SNOW on the ground. all right, i know i was soooo excited about the snow a couple of months ago but man, i'm OVER it! the equinox is in a couple of days and the sidewalks are still icy! i want some SUN! i want it above freezing! i wanna be able to take my wool overcoats to the dry cleaners and stow them under my bed for a while!

OK, enough ranting. back to the happy stuff.

just noticed while updating web site that the number of venues i've played in NYC is in danger of outnumbering the seattle venues i played. crazy! it's been a busy five months. lucky!

here comes the news...

II. STUDIO STUFF

some fun studio projects over the last month include recording two more song demos with producer Christian Cassan and a fab songwriter by name of Nicholas Strouse. hope to do more with these super nice fellas. also, met this dude Scott Jacoby who is a talented songwriter, performer, and producer. sang some backup on a track for him on a single that is soon to be released in Japan. stay tuned for more news on that one...and see below for more info under "live stuff"!

III. LIVE STUFF

OK, I'll skip the story of my first bat mitvah appearance in new jersey and go straight to the upcoming gigs of note. as always, you can find details on the gigs page.

I'm definitely excited about my upcoming gig at the BB Kings Blues Club in Times Square on Tuesday, March 30th. I will be featured, along with the crazy/sexy/cool Autumn Rowe, on two songs in the "Rhythm & Rolling Stones" tribute. Soul impresario Carlton J. Smith will host a number of performers doing soul'd out and funked up versions of Rolling Stones songs. Wild horses couldn't drag me away.

also coming up:

• thursday april 8th 6:30 PM - singing backup for artists Scott Jacoby, Maiysha, and Dan Metreyeon at the Virgin Records store in Times Square - free!!
• tuesday april 13th - with reggae heartthrob Louis Atlas at the Knitting Factory
• thursday april 15th - with R&B sensation Autumn at Downtime - see us on the big screen!

IV. WEB SITE PICS

if you haven't checked out the web site lately, there are some new snapshots, including some funny graffiti found in the subway, and a shot of me modeling a tshirt for the band i always make time to see when i return to seattle: the robert stewart fiasco. AND, photos of my flirtation with...cornrows.

anyhow, keep your fingers crossed...i know there are crocuses fightin' their way up through the icy ground.
