Mucho Mas Blessings from Celia

It's my birthday, and I awoke to a beautiful Brooklyn snowfall and the news that Saddam Hussein had been captured in a cellar halfway across the world. Surprisingly, I am not hung over after a lovely evening of sushi and birthday debauchery with friends last night. Today: a Sunday afternoon cookie bake-fest while my fabulous roommate writes copy at the kitchen table.

I feel incredibly blessed to continue to receive your emails, notes, and phone calls across the distance encouraging me to press on with my crazy music dream. I've had days where the city kicks my ass and I burst into tears of frustration in public. Other days, I can't stop grinning from ear to ear, baffled and grateful for my good fortune at arriving at this moment in the process, on this planet. I aim to do y'all proud out here.
